- Common mistakes when cleaning the deck are users turn mower sideways, this causes oil to spill into the carburettor or air filters which can create smoke when going.
- Turn mower off
- Remove spark plug lead
- Take catcher off, not its ready to be safely tipped backwards
- You can hook under a bench, a branch or use the catcher as a weight to hold it down.
- Use a stiff brush or plastic scrapper to remove the build up of grass under the deck
